NESCAC Player of the Week
Andrew Palena – Amherst – Jr. - G – Trinity, Fla.
Needing two wins to extend their streak of never missing the NESCAC Tournament, Palena was instrumental in making that happen for the Mammoths, stopping all 54 shots he faced as Amherst blanked Middlebury, 3-0, and Williams, 6-0. The shutouts were the first of Palena's collegiate career. In the win over Middlebury, the junior made nine stops in the second period as the Mammoths extended their lead from 1-0 to 3-0, and 11 saves in the final stanza as Amherst protected its lead. Palena finished the game with 28 saves. Palena stopped 26 shots in the win over Williams, including 13 in the third period alone.

NESCAC Weekly Honor Roll
Colby – Wyatt Schmidek (Weston, Mass.) tallied a goal and an assist in Friday's victory over Tufts.  The sophomore tallied the opening goal midway through the second period to put the Mules in front and assisted Colby's second score seven minutes into the third period in an eventual 3-2 overtime win. 

Conn. College - Junior forward Quinn Kennedy (Silver Spring, Md.) led Conn. College with four points on two goals and two assists to help the Camels earn four points in the standings and clinch a playoff berth. At Bowdoin, Kennedy assisted on both Conn. College goals, as the Camels fell to the Polar Bears in overtime. At Colby, Kennedy opened the scoring just 30 seconds into the game, before adding the insurance marker with a minute and a half left, as Conn. College earned the 5-2 win and a playoff spot.

Hamilton – Justin Biraben (Kingston, Ontario) posted a goal and two assists in the Continentals’ 4-3 setback against Williams. It was Biraben's sixth multi-point game this season. The junior wing also won 3-of-5 faceoffs.

MiddleburyCaden Morgan (Edina, Minn.) recorded his first career goal 2:21 into overtime as the Panthers upset No. 2 Hamilton 2-1. Morgan became the 18th player to tally a goal this season. The rookie opened the final weekend of the regular season with two shots in a 3-0 setback at Amherst.

Tufts – In the final two games to close out the regular season, Tufts suffered a 3-2 overtime loss at Colby and captured a 4-1 victory over No. 8 Bowdoin. Senior Philippe Lamarre (St. Augustine, Fla.) scored at 19:59 of the second period, his second goal of the season, to tie the game at 1-1 in the loss to Colby.

Wesleyan – Senior Ethan Davidson (Arlington, Va.) prolonged his point streak to five straight games, registering an assist on Friday in a win over Trinity before scoring his second goal of the year on Saturday against the Bantams. 

Williams – Junior Brady Welsch (Fond du Lac, Wis.) registered one goal and two assists, including the game-winning tally, in a 4-3 victory at No. 2-ranked Hamilton on Friday.
