HADLEY, Mass. – The Trinity Bantams are the No. 1 seed in the 2026 NESCAC Men’s Squash Championship based on the College Squash Association (CSA) ELO Rankings as of February 9, 2026.
Hamilton College is the host of the eight-team NESCAC Squash Championships on February 14-15 at the Little Squash Center. The quarterfinals will be held on Saturday, February 14, starting at 10 a.m. The semifinals and final will be played on Sunday, February 15, with the championship match scheduled for 4 p.m.
NESCAC Championship History
Trinity has won all 18 NESCAC Men’s Squash titles. Last season, the Bantams faced Tufts in the championship match for the second consecutive year and posted an 8-1 win. Bates, Bowdoin, Tufts, and Williams are the four teams other than Trinity to play in a championship match in tournament history.

No. 1 Trinity Bantams (10-0) vs. No. 8 Hamilton Continentals (8-8)
- Trinity is the No. 1 seed for the 19th consecutive season.
- The Bantams have won every NESCAC title (18 straight).
- Trinity’s Muhammad Ashab Irfan was the runner-up in the Pool Trophy division at the CSA Individual Championships in New York City (Jan. 25-27). Teammate Huzaifa Ibrahim won the Pool D title.
- Hamilton is making its first appearance in the NESCAC Championship since 2023.
- The Continentals are the No. 8 seed for the fifth time in championship history and have won three of their last four matches entering the tournament.
- Trinity and Hamilton did not meet prior to the championship this season. The Bantams are 4-0 against the Continentals, which includes a 9-0 win in the 2023 quarterfinals.
No. 2 Tufts Jumbos (10-5) vs. No. 7 Bowdoin Polar Bears (6-9)
- Tufts’ No. 2 seed matches the highest in program history. The Jumbos earned the No. 2 seed for the second time in team history (last: 2022).
- The Jumbos have reached the semifinals three straight years and finished as the NESCAC Runners-Up in 2024 and 2025.
- Tufts enters the tournament having won 8 of its last 10 matches.
- Bowdoin is the No. 7 seed for the third year in a row.
- The Polar Bears reached the NESCAC Championship match in 2022.
- Tufts recorded a 7-2 win at Bowdoin on January 10.
- The Polar Bears are 5-0 against the Jumbos in the NESCAC Championship series. The teams last met in the 2020 fifth-place match, with Bowdoin pulling out a 5-4 win.
No. 3 Williams Ephs (8-5) vs. No. 6 Middlebury Panthers (9-9)
- Williams is the No. 3 seed for the first time since 2019.
- The Ephs enter the tournament having won seven of their last nine matches.
- Williams has reached 17 consecutive semifinals and has played in the final 12 times (last: 2023).
- The Panthers are the No. 6 seed for the second time in three years.
- Middlebury has played in every NESCAC Men’s Squash Championship (19 straight).
- The Panthers have reached the semifinals 11 times (last: 2022).
- Williams posted an 8-1 victory over Middlebury on January 24. The Ephs evened the NESCAC Championship series to 3-3 with a 5-4 win over the Panthers in the 2019 semifinals, the last time the teams met in the tournament.
No. 4 Amherst Mammoths (11-4) vs. No. 5 Colby Mules (7-6)
- Amherst is the No. 4 seed for the first time since 2022.
- The Mammoths have qualified for every NESCAC Men’s Squash Championship.
- Amherst has advanced to the semifinals three times in team history. Its last appearance was in 2023.
- Colby is the No. 5 seed for the second year in a row.
- The Mules made back-to-back appearances in the semifinals in 2024 and 2025, the first time the program has advanced past the quarterfinal round.
- Colby enters the tournament on a four-match win streak, which includes a 6-3 win over Amherst on January 21.
- The Mules hold a 5-3 advantage in the NESCAC Tournament series, following a 5-4 victory in the 2024 quarterfinals, when the teams last met in the championship.
