NESCAC Player of the Week
Will Lawrence – Conn. College – So. - F – Bethesda, Md.
Lawrence contributed on six of the seven goals the Camels scored last weekend in a split with Trinity and Wesleyan. The sophomore led the Camels with six points on two goals and four assists, adding three blocks. On Friday night in a 4-2 win over the Bantams, Lawrence recorded three points on a goal and two assists, including the tying goal late in the second period, before adding an assist on the insurance marker late in the third, as the Camels secured their first season sweep of Trinity since 2008-09. Against the Cardinals, Lawrence added three more points, assisting Conn. College's first two goals and added a redirect goal in the third period.
NESCAC Weekly Honor Roll
Amherst – Rookie
John Small (Orland Park, Ill.) had a goal and an assist in the Mammoths' 4-2 win over Westfield State last week, notching the first goal of the game to give Amherst a 1-0 lead and then assisting on the eventual game-winning goal. In his first season, Small had three goals and three assists and is fifth on the team in points with six.
Bowdoin – Senior
Aidan Lyons (Brookline, Mass.) scored twice in regulation and first-year
Ricky Volpe (Commack, N.Y.) scored the game-winner in overtime to lift the Polar Bears to a 5-4 win at Williams on Saturday.
Colby – Junior
Bobby Landry (Hingham, Mass.) led a Colby group that saw eight different goal scorers in their two-game set this weekend. The junior tallied the game-winner in Saturday's triumph over Middlebury, helping the Mules earn a season sweep over the Panthers.
Hamilton – In the lone game last week for the Continentals, junior
Aksel Reid (Minneapolis, Minn.) made 16 saves in a 3-0 win at Amherst. Reid has posted shutouts in back-to-back starts.
Middlebury –
Jake Stevens (Newton, N.J.) pushed his consecutive games with a point streak to four to help the squad to a 2-1-0 week. The rookie tallied the insurance goal with 6:37 remaining in the second period in a 3-2 triumph over in-state rival Norwich. Stevens added a goal and assist to help seal a 3-2 upset of No. 12 Bowdoin. The Panther closed the three-game slate with a helper during the squad's 6-3 setback against Colby. Stevens leads the team in points (13) and assists (10).
Tufts – Senior
Cole Dubicki (Seattle, Wash.) led the Jumbos in points with four and helped secure a weekend sweep over conference opponents Trinity and Wesleyan on the road. On Saturday, Dubicki dished out a career-high four assists in a 6-3 win over Trinity. The last time a Jumbo collected four or more assists in a game was on December 7, 2018, in a 6-1 win against Bowdoin.
Wesleyan – Dylan Margel (Potomac, Md.) lit the lamp twice for his first career multi-goal game in a 7-3 win for Wesleyan over Conn. College on Saturday. The rookie’s power-play goal in the second period proved to be the game-winner in the end for the Cardinals.
Williams – Sophomore forward
Jake McManus (Winthrop, Mass.) finished with two assists in a 4-2 victory over Colby on Friday and scored a goal against No. 12-ranked Bowdoin on Saturday.
