Middlebury Garners IWLCA Regional & National Coaching Staff Of The Year Honors

The Middlebury women's lacrosse coaching staff has earned the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Division III National and Pilgrim Region Coaching Staff of the Year laurels for the fourth-straight season. Head coach Kate Livesay '03, alongside assistant coaches Olivia Seymour and Amy Patton, led the program to a 21-1 record and its 11th NCAA title in program history.

HIGHLIGHTS

  • Middlebury became the second Division III women's lacrosse program to claim four-straight NCAA Championships, joining The College of New Jersey, which won six-consecutive crowns in the 1990s. The Panthers are one of only four programs across all three divisions that have achieved the accomplishment.
  • The staff coached the IWLCA National Player and Attacker of the Year, five IWLCA All-Americans and eight all-region honorees.
  • The group mentored the NESCAC Offensive Player of the Year and five all-conference selections.
  • The program also produced the Elite 90 Award winner for the third year in a row.
  • The squad finished in the top-10 places nationally in clearing percentage (fourth - .891), total defense (sixth - 6.64) and scoring margin (10th - 8.82).
  • The Panthers have tallied double-digit goals in the last 72 games and secured 53 consecutive wins away from Peter Kohn Field.
  • The program has claimed five championships in a row, having not played during the 2020 or 2021 seasons due to the pandemic (2019, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025). This is the 11th crown for the program since its inaugural season in 1971.
  • Middlebury has won its last 25 NCAA Tournament contests.
  • Livesay and the Panther staff have won the national award six times (2016, 2019, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025).
