Tufts' Vuksanovic Selected to Academic All- America® Men's Tennis First Team

Tufts University recent graduate Vuk Vuksanovic has been nationally recognized for his athletic and academic achievements with a selection to the 2024-25 Academic All- America® men's tennis teams announced by College Sports Communicators.

Named to the Academic All- America® first team in Division III, Vuksanovic is one of six individuals in the nation on the first team and is the only player from the NESCAC and New England. He is one of 18 players to be placed on the three Academic All- America® teams overall including one of just two from the region.  The award recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom.

Vuksanovic graduated Magna Cum Laude in May with a degree in Architectural Studies and a 3.67 grade point average. They hosted the opening rounds of the 2025 NCAA Tournament at Tufts Tennis Center and earned a fourth-straight berth to the NCAA Quarterfinals, all which were with Vuksanovic in the line-up.

He also earned berths into the 2025 NCAA Singles and NCAA Doubles (with junior teammate Javier Gonzalez) Championships this spring. He and Gonzalez won three matches to advance to the NCAA Doubles final where they lost in three sets. He split a pair of NCAA singles matches. For the season, Vuksanovic had a 24-4 singles record and finished with the #3 Division III singles ranking. In doubles, playing with Gonzalez primarily, but also with Derin Acaroglu and Sacha Maes, Vuksanovic was part of a 23-7 doubles record. He and Gonzalez were #3 in the final DIII doubles rankings. Vuksanovic's regional singles ranking was #1, as was his doubles ranking with Gonzalez.

In the fall, Vuksanovic had qualified for 2024 ITA Cup in singles as the #2 seed and advanced to the quarterfinals. He earned the berth by winning the ITA New England Singles title. A two-year team captain, he played #1 singles and #1 doubles for Tufts' 2024 team that advanced to NCAA Quarterfinals, he played #2 singles and #1 doubles for the 2023 team that advanced to NCAA final and he played #3 singles for the 2022 team that advanced to NCAA semifinals. He finished the 2023-24 season ranked fourth nationally in singles and was an ITA All-American in singles & doubles. He earned a 2024 NCAA Singles berth and played into semifinals, and earned a 2024 NCAA doubles berth and advanced to the quarterfinals. He was a 2023 All-American in doubles and was a four-time NESCAC All-Conference honoree for his career.

The valedictorian of high school class at Veritas Collegiate Academy in Chesapeake, Virginia, he was a 2024 and 2025 Academic All-District® Men's Tennis Team member as well as a two-time NESCAC All-Academic Team member (3.50 GPA+).
