NESCAC Player of the Week
Hope Shue – Middlebury – Sr. – A – Dover, Mass.
Shue totaled 13 points (7G, 6A) and 13 draws in a 2-0 week for Middlebury. Against No. 2 Tufts, the senior led all players with eight points (4G, 4A) alongside a career-high 10 draw controls to propel Middlebury to a 16-15 win. Shue leads the NESCAC in a host of offensive categories, including goals (48), goals per game (3.69), and total points (69).

NESCAC Weekly Honor Roll
Amherst – Junior Clara Sosa (Mamaroneck, N.Y.) scored five goals in a 1-1 week for Amherst. In a 14-11 come-from-behind win over Bates, the junior scored four times, with all four goals coming in the second half as the Mammoths outscored the visitors 10-2 to rally for the win.

BatesCaroline Keating (Rye, N.Y.) scored a goal at Tufts and netted a pair of goals at Amherst. The junior matched her season-highs with four ground balls and three caused turnovers against the Mammoths. Keating also tallied eight draw controls last week, including an impressive six against Amherst, giving her 55 for the season, which is tied for fifth in the NESCAC.

Bowdoin – Senior Lauren Burke (Wellesley, Mass.) scored the game-winning goal with 1:33 remaining, capping a three-goal, two-assist day, as the Polar Bears defeated Williams on Saturday.

Colby – Senior Kat Munter (Elkridge, Md.) helped the Mules to two NESCAC wins last week, anchoring a defense that allowed only 3.5 goals per game against Bowdoin and Trinity. Munter scored the first goal of her collegiate career going coast-to-coast in the fourth quarter at Bowdoin for what would prove to be the game-winner.  Against Trinity, Colby's defense held the Bantams to two goals, their lowest total since Williams held Trinity to two scores in 2006. On the week, the defender collected four ground balls, caused four turnovers, and secured seven draw controls.

Conn. College – Sophomore goalkeeper Ava Virga (Watertown, N.Y.) had a solid game in net, as Conn. won their only game of the week, defeating No. 10 Amherst,12-10, on Wednesday night. Virga made 10 saves in the Camels’ cage, including one late in the fourth quarter as Amherst tried to make the comeback, while also chipping in a team-high six ground balls and causing two turnovers. 
 
Hamilton – Maddigan Leifer (Shelton, Conn.) finished with five points, seven draw controls, and five ground balls in two games. Leifer recorded two goals, an assist, and a season-high five draw controls in a 12-9 setback against Wesleyan. The junior chipped in a goal, an assist, three ground balls, two draws, and one caused turnover in an 11-8 loss at Williams.
 
Trinity – Sophomore Kelsey Restivo (Sayville, N.Y.) paced the Bantams’ offense with a team-high five points, potting two goals with three assists. Restivo notched a team-high four points with two goals and two assists in a battle with Wesleyan and added a goal in a loss to third-ranked Colby.
 
Tufts – Senior Margie Carden (Newtown Square, Pa.) helped the Jumbos to a 1-1 week, as Tufts topped Bates on Wednesday on the road, 18-6, before falling at No. 1 Middlebury, 16-15. Carden tallied eight goals for the Jumbos over the two games, as she raised her season mark to 34 goals for the season. 

Wesleyan – Kiara Tangney (Reading, Mass.) registered nine points with seven goals across two road wins last week for the Cardinals. The senior has 13 goals and a hat trick in four straight games. Tangney started the week with a career-high five points (3G, 2A) including the game-winning goal in a 12-11 win at Trinity, while adding four ground balls and two caused turnovers. She followed that up by matching her career-high with four goals to go along with four draw controls, two ground balls, and two caused turnovers in a 12-9 road win over Hamilton. 

Williams – Franny Donohue (Cold Spring Harbor, N.Y.) tallied six goals in a 1-1 week for the Ephs. The junior scored five times at Bowdoin on and buried one goal in an 11-8 triumph over Hamilton on Wednesday.
