NESCAC Player of the Week
Mandy Busky – Colby – Sr. – G – Ellington, Conn.
Busky allowed only one goal (a power-play tally) across the pair of games, recording a 0.980 save percentage as Colby swept Trinity in NESCAC action. Busky added 50 saves to her season tally and collected her third shutout. Busky remains undefeated on the season with a 6-0-2 record.
NESCAC Weekly Honor Roll
Amherst –
Maeve Reynolds (Plymouth, Mass.) recorded four points in a 2-0-0 week for the Mammoths, who defeated No. 9 Bowdoin by 3-0 scores in back-to-back games. In game one, Reynolds registered one assist, and in the second game, the junior notched two assists and scored an empty-net goal to cap the weekend for the Mammoths.
Conn. College – Sophomore forward
Ashley Engle (Basking Ridge, N.J.) had a strong weekend, as Conn. picked up a conference sweep over Wesleyan. On Friday night, Engle tallied a goal early in the second period to provide insurance as the Camels earned a 4-1 win. On Saturday, with Conn. trailing early in the third, Engle rifled a shot over the glove and under the crossbar to even the score. Engle finished with two goals on six shots for the weekend, adding 11 face-off wins.
Hamilton –
Lilly Truchon (South Burlington, Vt.) scored two goals in the third period of the Continentals' 4-1 win against Williams on Friday night. The multi-goal game was the first of Truchon's collegiate career, and the junior forward leads the team with five tallies.
Middlebury – Senior
Jordan Hower (Kennett Square, Pa.) scored the golden goal with less than two minutes remaining in overtime to lift No. 2 Middlebury past No. 6 Plattsburgh State 2-1. It was Middlebury’s third straight win over the rival Cardinals, marking the first time since in early 2000s that the Panthers have claimed more than two consecutive victories in the series. Hower has eclipsed her season best in goals (7) and points (11) this season.
Trinity – Junior
Jelani Adorno (Tariffville, Conn.) potted the Bantams' lone goal on the weekend, delivering a power-play strike to prevent a shutout against Colby.
Williams – Senior defender
Katie Armstrong (Newton, Mass.) recorded two assists, including assisting the game-winning goal, in a 3-2 triumph at Hamilton on Saturday.
