NESCAC Player of the Week
Andrew Heinze – Middlebury – So. – G – North Andover, Mass.
Heinze helped Middlebury post a pair of NESCAC shutouts over the weekend, securing four critical points in the conference standings. Heinze recorded 76 saves, including a career-high 45 stops, to lead the Panthers past Williams, 2-0, on Saturday. The goalie has posted the third-most saves in the NESCAC (516) while sporting the fifth-best goals-against-average (2.31).
 
NESCAC Weekly Honor Roll
Amherst – Zachary Murray (Alexandria, Va.) scored twice in the Mammoths' 5-1 win over Tufts, giving the junior a career-high eight goals this season.
 
Bowdoin – Sophomore Jack Barbro (Loudonville, N.Y.) scored a goal and an assist on Friday in a victory over Trinity and followed it up with a game-tying goal to force overtime against Wesleyan on Saturday.
 
Colby – Newcomer Massimo Gentile (Montreal, Quebec) had a hand in all of Colby's scoring in a 1-0 overtime win over Wesleyan and a 1-1 draw against Trinity.  The first-year assisted Friday night's game-winner a little less than two minutes into the extra frame. Gentile offered another helper midway through the third period against the Bantams on Saturday to force overtime.  In the shootout loss, he netted Colby's lone score off the frame in the upper left corner to beat the Trinity netminder. 
 
Conn. College – Junior goaltender Will McEvoy (Ottawa, Ontario) earned a split in goal over the weekend. On Friday night, McEvoy stopped all 35 shots he faced, collecting his second shutout of the year, as Conn. beat Amherst, 3-0, for the Camels’ first win over the Mammoths since 2018. On Saturday, McEvoy followed up with 45 saves against Hamilton as Conn. fell short on the road. For the weekend, McEvoy finished with 80 saves, a .964 save percentage, and 1.50 goals against average.
 
Hamilton – Justin Biraben (Kingston, Ontario) scored a power-play goal, added a primary assist, and blocked two shots in a 3-0 win against Connecticut College. The multi-point game was the second of the season for Biraben. The sophomore forward scored the Continentals' lone goal in a 2-1 setback against Tufts. Biraben has at least one point in three straight games.

Trinity – Senior Alexander Mozian (Old Greenwich, Conn.) netted the Bantams’ lone goal in a 1-1 shootout victory over Colby on Saturday.
 
Tufts  – Harrison Bazianos (Glenview, Ill.) had a goal and an assist in Tufts’ 2-1 victory at Hamilton on Friday night. The senior set up the game's first goal five minutes into the first period. Three minutes later Bazianos scored a goal to give the Tufts a 2-0 advantage that the Jumbos would not relinquish. Bazianos leads Tufts with nine goals and 17 points this season. 
 
Wesleyan – Rookie Jake Geraci (Old Tappan, N.J.) registered his first career multi-point night, recording an assist to go along with the overtime game-winning goal in a 4-3 win over Bowdoin that kept Wesleyan's playoff hopes alive. 
 
Williams – Cal Sandquist (Evergreen, Colo.) earned the shutout and made 30 saves in 65 minutes of action in a 0-0 tie against Middlebury on Friday at Lansing Chapman Rink. Sandquist also stopped 2-of-3 shots in the shootout, as the Ephs won the shootout, 2-1. At Middlebury on Saturday evening, Sandquist made another 33 saves. The senior finished the NESCAC weekend with 63 saves and a .969 save percentage.
