Trinity Wins 18th Consecutive NESCAC Women's Squash Title

HARTFORD, Conn. – Top-seeded Trinity captured its 18th straight NESCAC Championship with a 9-0 win over No. 2 Tufts at the Kellner Squash Center. The Bantams and Jumbos met in the championship match for the fourth year in a row.
 
The Bantams, who have won every NESCAC title since the championship’s inception in 2007, blanked No. 4 Williams, 9-0, in the semifinals.
 
Tufts earned a 5-4 victory over No. 3 Amherst to earn its fourth trip to the final. Indira Moshi’s 3-0 win at No. 9 clinched the match for the Jumbos.
 
In the championship match, Trinity won five matches by 3-0 scores. Tufts’ Nieve Monderer pushed Trinity’s Varvara Kliueva to five games at the No. 6 spot, but Kliueva won the match, 11-8, 11-4, 5-11, 6-11, 11-8.
