HADLEY, Mass. – For the first time since 2013, Connecticut College will host the NESCAC Cross Country Championships. The races are set for Saturday, November 1 at Harkness Park in Waterford, Conn. The men's race will begin at 11 a.m. with the women's race to follow at 12 p.m.

Spectator Parking Information: Spectators should park in the main lot at Harkness Park and walk to the course. Parking is free. These are different instructions for spectators who attended the Connecticut College Invitiational on October 18.

2024 CHAMPIONSHIP RECAP
Williams captured the 2024 NESCAC Men's and Women's Cross Country titles for the fifth consecutive championship. The men took home their 22nd title overall with 76 points, while the women totaled 35 points for their 21st title.
 
In the closest team standings in NESCAC Men's Cross Country history, Charles Namiot captured the individual men's title to lead Williams to its fifth consecutive NESCAC Men's Cross Country Championship and 22nd in program history. One point separated Williams (76 points) and runners-up Amherst (77 points) and the top four teams were within 11 points of each other. Middlebury totaled 86 points to finish third and Tufts placed fourth with 87 points. Namiot covered the 8K Pickard Field Cross-Country Course on the Bowdoin campus in a time of 24:40.81 and was the third consecutive Williams runner to win the NESCAC race. Namiot's time was nearly 11 seconds faster than the rest of the field.

In the women's race, Williams, bolstered by a 4-5-6 finish led by Kate Tuttle’s time of 20:49.04, captured first in the team standings for the 21st time in program history. Middlebury’s Audrey MacLean took home the individual women's title, posting the fastest 6K time at the NESCAC Championships since 2012 clocking in at 20:21.5. MacLean, who was the fifth different runner to capture the women's title in five years, was the first Panther to win the individual NESCAC title since Abigail Nadler in 2016. MacLean’s time was 1.68 seconds faster than Hamilton’s Keira Rogan who was the runner-up (20:22.83). Amherst finished second with 87 points and Tufts scored 93 points to place third. Middlebury (111 points) and Wesleyan (138 points) rounded out the top five teams.

NESCAC CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIP HISTORY
Nine NESCAC schools have won a NESCAC Men's Cross Country title since 1983 when the NESCAC began recognizing a team champion. Williams leads all schools with 22 titles and has captured five straight championships and nine of the last 11 trophies. Seven NESCAC schools have won the NESCAC Women's Cross Country crown since 1983. Williams leads the pack with 21 titles and has won five consecutive championships and eight of the last nine crowns.
