NESCAC Field Hockey Player of the Week
Kiki Higgins – Williams – Jr. - F – Weston, Mass. 
Higgins tallied eight points on three goals and two assists and contributed on five of the seven goals the Ephs scored in a 2-0 NESCAC weekend. Higgins recorded two goals and one assist in a 5-2 win at No. 22 Bowdoin on Sunday. The junior followed up with a goal in the first quarter and assisted an insurance goal in the fourth frame in a 2-0 victory at Colby on Saturday.

NESCAC Weekly Honor Roll
Amherst – Justine Liguori (Miami, Fla.) had two goals in a 1-2 week for the Mammoths. The junior netted the game-winner in a 1-0 win over No. 15 MIT on Wednesday and added a goal in a 3-2 overtime loss to Colby on Sunday. Liguori’s four goals lead the Mammoths this season.

Bates Anna Cote (New Gloucester, Maine) took command of the Bates offense in a 3-0 week for the Bobcats. The senior scored the game-winning goal and dished out an assist in a 3-2 win over rival Bowdoin on Tuesday. Cote tallied another assist in a 2-1 win over Amherst on Saturday and capped off her week with two goals in a 6-0 victory over Vermont State Castleton on Sunday. The Bobcats (6-2) are off to their best start overall through eight games since 1983 and their best start in NESCAC play (3-1) since 2002. Cote leads Bates with 12 points on the season to date.
 
Bowdoin – Polar Bear sophomore Evelyn Clemens (Dexter, Mich.) scored four seconds before the halftime buzzer to give Bowdoin an early lead against Hamilton on Saturday.
 
ColbyCasey Winslow (Fairfield Conn.) tallied her second overtime winner of the season scoring less than two minutes into the extra frame to lead Colby past Amherst, 3-2.  After a scoreless opening frame, the senior got the Mules on the board first with a scoring strike less than a minute into the second quarter. It was Winslow's second multi-goal game of the season, both against NESCAC opponents. The senior ranks third in the conference in goals with eight and fourth in points with 18. 

Connecticut College – Bridget McGann (West Hartford, Conn.) scored a pair of goals against top-ranked Middlebury last week. It marked her second multi-goal game of the season. The junior leads the team in scoring with five goals on the year.

Hamilton - Lydon Kelley (Andover, Mass.) scored a goal in each of the Continentals' two wins for a four-point week. Kelley tallied the final goal midway through the third quarter of a 3-1 victory at William Smith. The senior notched the game-winner with 7:29 left in the fourth quarter as Hamilton edged Bowdoin, 2-1. Kelley, who entered the season with one career goal, leads the team with five in 2024.
 
Middlebury - Georgianne Defeo (Rehobeth, Mass.) tallied 10 points (5G) in a 2-0 week for Middlebury, extending the Panthers’ undefeated streak to 39 straight victories. The junior has scored at least once in the last six contests. Defeo leads the NESCAC in points (24) and goals (11). Defeo’s hat trick against Connecticut College was a career high. 
 
Trinity – Rookie Aly Janssen (Old Greenwich, Conn.) notched two goals and added an assist in a pair of non-conference victories for the Bantams. Janssen dished out an assist in Trinity's 3-2 win over WPI and scored twice, including the game-winner in double overtime, to defeat Roger Williams, 5-4.
 
Tufts – Senior Claire Gavin (Durham, Conn.) scored twice less than 30 seconds apart in the first two minutes of the game to get Tufts off to a great start in an eventual 3-1 win over Babson College in a non-conference meeting of Top 10 teams on Tuesday. The Beavers had eliminated Tufts from the NCAA Tournament in the Elite 8 round last season.

Wesleyan – First-year Brooke Miner (Ridgefield, Conn.) was involved in both goals in Wesleyan's 2-1 come-from-behind win at home over Tufts in the lone game for the Cardinals last week. Trailing 1-0 to start the second quarter, Miner’s cross was tipped in by classmate Teddy Tolbert (Ypsilanti, Mich.) to tie the score. Just 91 seconds later Miner scored on a penalty stroke which was her first career goal and the game-winner.
