NESCAC Football Offensive Player of the Week
Mason Morrow – Amherst – Jr. – QB – West Des Moines, Iowa

Morrow threw the first two touchdowns of his career in a come-from-behind 21-7 win at Hamilton. Trailing 7-0 heading into the third quarter, the junior connected for a 12-yard strike with Owen Gaydos to tie the game. Then with the Mammoths leading 14-7 in the final quarter, Morrow teamed up with Sam Gerber for a 24-yard touchdown strike. Morrow threw for 206 yards, completing 23-of-33 passes, and rushed for 18 yards on four carries in the win. 

NESCAC Football Defensive Player of the Week
Dave Filias – Middlebury – Sr. – DL – Lynn, Mass.

Filias helped Middlebury come from behind to top Bowdoin 39-15 on Saturday. The Panther tied for the team lead with eight tackles (6 solo) and 2.0 sacks for a loss of 12 yards. Trailing 12-7 at the half, the senior was part of a defense that shut down the Polar Bears in the second, not allowing a touchdown as the Middlebury offense posted 32 unanswered points. Filias moved into fifth place on Middlebury’s career lists in sacks (13.5) and yards from sacks (78).

NESCAC Football Special Teams Player of the Week
Austin Baker – Wesleyan – So. – LB – Bend, Ore.

Baker made two game-changing special teams plays in Saturday's 20-9 home win over Tufts. The sophomore blocked a punt deep in the Jumbos' side of the field that led to a Wesleyan touchdown that gave the Cardinals a 13-6 halftime lead. In the fourth quarter with Wesleyan leading by 11 and just over five minutes left, Baker forced a fumble on a Tufts punt return that allowed Wesleyan to seal the game in the late stages. 

NESCAC Weekly Honor Roll
Amherst –  Jeb Allen (Jacksonville, Fla.) made one tackle, a drive-ending sack, in the Mammoths' 21-7 come-from-behind win over Hamilton. The sophomore also had the only Hamilton turnover, recovering a fumble that stopped another Continental drive … Senior Michael Mitchell (Elm Grove, Wis.) averaged 43.3 yards per punt, pinning Hamilton inside its own 20-yard line with all three of his boots, including a long of 62 yards.
 
Bates – Ryan Lynskey (Canford, N.J.) ran the ball 30 times for a career-high 102 yards and a touchdown Saturday against Trinity. The sophomore is averaging 90 rushing yards per game through two contests which leads the NESCAC … Marquez Narvaez-Estrada (Montgomery Village, Md.) recorded six tackles, including one tackle for loss, and broke up two passes Saturday at Trinity. The rookie cornerback was a key part of a Bates defense that held the Bantams to 196 passing yards, the fewest passing yards in one game for Trinity since 2021. Trinity's 328 yards of total offense were also their fewest in one game since 2021.

Bowdoin – Senior linebacker Koy Price (Norwalk, Conn.) was all over the field for the Polar Bears against Middlebury on Saturday, making six total tackles, including 2.5 for loss, and 1.5 sacks. One sack resulted in a safety and the other forced a fumble that was recovered by the Polar Bears. 

Colby - Quarterback Miles Drake (Darien, Conn.) completed 21-of-39 pass attempts for 227 yards and two touchdowns but could not help the Mules complete a last-second comeback against Williams. The junior’s first score drew the Mules to within two halfway through the third quarter, and his second score capped a 12-play, 95-yard drive that brought Colby to within five with two minutes left in regulation.  Drake’s 227 yards were the second most of his career, and the 39 pass attempts set a new game-high. Drake also ran the ball five times … Julian Young (Manalapan, N.J.) tallied a game-high 11 tackles (9 solo) in Saturday's battle against Williams. The senior made an impact early, collecting eight tackles by halftime, including two tackles for loss on back-to-back plays and five stops on the Ephs' first three possessions … Senior Keon Smart (Woodstock, Ga.) returned four kicks for 51 yards, with a long of 24 yards versus the Ephs. The running back also carried the ball for 80 yards and caught five passes for 24 yards through the air. Smart finished the game with 155 all-purpose yards.  
 
Hamilton – Sophomore Chester Boynton (Concord, Mass.) set career highs with 10 catches and 95 yards receiving in a loss to Amherst. The 10 receptions are the most in a NESCAC game this season … Kyle Bratcher (Park Ridge, N.J.) made a game-high seven tackles, broke up a pass, and grabbed the fifth interception of the junior's career against the Mammoths … Senior Tighe Hoey (New Canaan, Conn.) averaged 49.8 yards on five punts with three punts traveling 50-plus yards, including a 52-yard boot.
 
Middlebury – Trailing 12-0 just before halftime, Mike Ahonen (Wellesley, Mass.) recorded a five-yard scoring strike that ultimately fueled a 39-15 come-from-behind victory over Bowdoin. The junior recorded eight catches for 95 yards and a career-high two touchdowns. Ahonen’s 56-yard catch marked a Middlebury season-high and ranks second in the NESCAC … Tony Wang (Ladera Ranch, Calif.) was phenomenal on kickoffs in the win over Bowdoin. The junior had eight kickoffs for 493 yards, including five touchbacks. 

 Trinity – Graduate student Zander Zebrowski (Verona, N.J.)  guided the Bantams offense to a 28-7 victory at Bates, completing 23-of-30 passes for 195 yards with three touchdowns … Senior Ma-Lyke Davis (Danbury, Conn.) anchored the Bantams defense that limited Bates to 213 yards, including 64 yards passing. Davis posted three tackles and grabbed his first interception of the season in the 28-7 victory over the Bobcats.
 
Wesleyan – Senior linebacker Ben Carbeau (Concord, Mass.) stuffed the stat sheet with 11 tackles (5 solo) while he posted his first career two-sack game as the Cardinal defense put in a stellar performance in Saturday's 20-9 home win over Tufts. In the first two games of the year Carbeau and the Wesleyan defense have allowed 16 points and only one touchdown.
 
Williams – Sophomore Owen McHugh (Milton, Mass.) went 16-for-18 for 192 yards and a touchdown and rushed for 51 yards and two touchdowns, in a 24-19 win at Colby. McHugh had rushing touchdowns of 5 and 9 yards, respectively, along with a 7-yard passing touchdown … Sophomore Holden Gering (Pacific Palisades, Calif.) recorded a team-high nine solo tackles and broke up a game-high four passes in a 24-19 win at Colby … Ivan Shuran (Medina, Ohio) converted a 37-yard field goal with 6:28 left in the fourth quarter to give the Ephs a 12-point lead over the Mules. It was the senior’s only field goal attempt and he also went 3-for-3 on PATs. Shuran had five kickoffs for a total of 289 yards, averaging 57.8 yards per kickoff, to go along with one touchback.
