NESCAC Player of the Week
Chloe Wilcox - Colby - Sr. - C - Windham, Maine
Wilcox knocked out 10 hits, including a stretch of four home runs in three games last week. In Friday's opener at Bates, the senior went 2-for-2 and her home run in the third inning put the Mules in front. In the nightcap victory, Wilcox helped the Mules break open a one-run game with a bases-clearing grand slam in the seventh. Wilcox saved her best for last launching two round-trippers in Game 1 Saturday against Tufts. The catcher went 3-for-3 at the plate with solo shots in the third and sixth innings, the latter proving to be the game-winner, as Colby upended Tufts for just the second time since 2006.

Sadie Leonard - Williams - So. - P - Tiburon, Calif.
Sophomore Sadie Leonard (Tiburon, Calif.) went 2-0 in the circle in a 4-0 week for the Ephs. Leonard did not give up a single run in 12 innings and struck out 27 batters. During a 1-0 win in Game 1 of a doubleheader at Trinity Saturday, Leonard earned the complete seven-inning game victory, as they threw a two-hitter while striking out 16 and walking one. During an 8-0 five-inning triumph in the first game of a doubleheader at Smith Wednesday, Leonard threw a two-hitter, struck out 11 and walked one.
 
NESCAC Weekly Honor Roll
AmherstRandi Finkelstein (Merrick, N.Y.) batted .455 (5-for-11) with a .500 OBP and a .636 slugging percentage last week. The senior scored one run, knocked in five others, and had a three-run triple. 

BatesKennedy Jones (Ocean Springs, Mass.) smacked a home run in Bates’ 5-4 win Friday over Colby. The sophomore finished the week 6-for-13 at the plate with two runs batted in, a run scored, and a double to go along with the long ball. Jones leads the Bobcats with a .387 batting average and a .984 OPS. Delaney Rankin (Harrison, Maine) earned her sixth win of the year with a complete game effort against Colby on Friday, allowing four runs on seven hits while striking out three in a 5-4 victory for Bates. The sophomore also delivered the eventual game-winning hit, going 3-for-3 at the plate with a run scored and two RBI. Rankin turned in an even better performance in the circle Saturday against Wesleyan, striking out a career-high 10 batters in a complete game four-hitter that saw the Bobcats take a hard-luck 2-1 loss. The right-hander did her part at the plate as well, going 2-for-3 with an RBI against the Cardinals.

Bowdoin - With six hits in four games last week for the Polar Bears, sophomore Anika Ewert (Newport Coast, Calif.) broke Bowdoin’s single-season hits record (65). Ewert, who leads the conference in batting (.542) and on-base percentage (.596) already set new program records in stolen bases (43) and runs scored (58) on the year. 

ColbyAbby Orso (York Harbor, Maine) had three complete game victories over Bowdoin, Bates, and Tufts last week.  The senior allowed one earned run Tuesday against the Polar Bears, striking out a season-high 11 batters.  On Friday Orso shut out the Bobcats, and on Saturday she scattered four hits in Colby's second win over the Jumbos since 2006. Orso raised her win total to 10 victories on the season, reaching 29 over her three-year career. Orso enters the week with 298 career strikeouts.  

Hamilton - Jordan Merklin (Wind Gap, Pa.) went 6-for-11 with two triples, a run scored, an RBI, and a stolen base in three games last week. Merklin set a program record with the sophomore's seventh triple of the season in a 6-3 setback against Utica. Merklin has at least one hit in five straight contests.

Middlebury – Sophomore Kristyn Carroll (Kinnelon, N.J.) powered Middlebury to a 4-0 week, including a two-game sweep at Amherst. The Panther averaged .600 at the plate with six runs on nine hits, including six stolen bases, a triple, and a pair of doubles over the four contests. Carroll moved into second place among Middlebury’s career stolen base leaders with 32, just one behind the all-time leader, while also increasing her program single-season record with 26. Sophomore McKenna Lont (Wyckoff, N.J.) recorded a win and a save in doubleheader action against Amherst on Saturday. The save was the first in the Panther’s career, while she hurled a complete-game win in the opener to improve to 10-3 overall. Lont allowed just one run in the initial contest to earn the victory, while sending the Mammoths down in order in the seventh to secure the 6-5 win. At the plate, Lont went a combined 3-for-7 with three doubles, three RBI, and three runs scored to help Middlebury sweep Amherst.

TrinityAbby Alper (Weston, Fla.) went 5-for-13 in a four-game week, notching four hits against Westfield State with two RBI, followed by a hit in the doubleheader against Williams. Alper also showcased her speed with one stolen base in each contest over the weekend. The sophomore holds a .308 batting average. In Game 1 against Williams, Tiffany Stowers (Burke, Va.) pitched a solid seven innings, tallying four strikeouts while conceding four hits and allowing only one run. The senior boasts an ERA of 1.73 this season. At the plate, Stowers went 1-for-3 and owns a .359 batting average.

TuftsHeaven Oliva (Ventura, Calif.) hit .714 (5-for-7) with four runs, four RBI, a double, a home run, and two walks in a three-game week for Tufts. At Colby on Saturday, the rookie was 3-for-5 in a doubleheader with two runs and two RBI. In the 11-9 Game 2 win, Oliva homered early in the game for a 3-0 Tufts lead. After Colby came back to tie the score 7-7, Oliva had an RBI single as part of a four-run sixth inning for the Jumbos to win it. The newcomers also had a lead-off single in the fifth inning of Game 1 when Tufts scored twice to tie the game at 2-2. Sophia DiCocco (Bozrah, Conn.) pitched in all three Tufts games last week with a 1-0 record and a save while compiling a 1.31 earned run average. The senior allowed just nine hits and no walks with 11 strikeouts in 10.2 innings. DiCocco picked up the save by recording the final out in Game 2 at Colby on Saturday with the potential tying run at the plate. Earlier in the week at Brandeis, DiCocco did not allow a hit until the fourth inning and finished with a one-hit shutout.

Wesleyan - Isabella Secaira-Cotto (Valley Stream, N.Y.) contributed in the circle and at the plate for the Cardinals as she threw a complete game with just one run allowed in a 2-1 win at Bates on Saturday. The junior had five RBI over four games last week with two doubles, going 3-for-5 combined in Saturday's doubleheader sweep at Bates. 

WilliamsSydney Fleming (Burlingame, Calif.) went 5-for-12 batting, with five runs, three RBIs, two home runs, and one double, in a 4-0 week for the Ephs. During a 7-2 victory in Game 2 on Saturday at Trinity, Fleming went 2-for-4 in the batter's box, to go along with two RBI, one home run, one double and one run scored. The junior went 2-for-3 at the plate, with two runs, one home run, one RBI, and one walk, during a 7-2 victory in Game 2 of a doubleheader at Smith Wednesday. From a fielding perspective, the catcher recorded a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage, featuring 40 total chances, 38 putouts, two assists, and no errors.
