NESCAC Fall All-Academic Team Released

HADLEY, Mass. – A total of 1,146 student-athletes have been named to the 2024 NESCAC Fall All-Academic Team. To be honored, an individual must have reached sophomore academic standing, and be in good standing in their sport with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.50 or equivalent on a 4.0 scale at the end of the 2023-24 academic year. Transfers must have completed one year of study at an institution.

Of the student-athletes to garner All-Academic honors this fall, 119 earned All-Academic and All-NESCAC accolades, and 51 were named to the All-Sportsmanship and All-Academic Teams. Three student-athletes garnered All-NESCAC honors in their sport, were also selected to the All-Sportsmanship Team, and earned All-Academic honors: Luke Brennan (Tufts Men's Cross Country), Grace McDonough (Conn. College Women's Cross Country), and Gavin Randolph (Middlebury Men's Soccer).

The 2024 Fall All-Academic Team includes the following players of the year or most outstanding performers:
  • Elsi Aires (Tufts) - NESCAC Women's Soccer Player of the Year
  • Molly Brumbach (Wesleyan) - NESCAC Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Year
  • Amy Griffin (Middlebury) - NESCAC Field Hockey Defensive Player of the Year
  • Molly Harrison (Middlebury) - NESCAC Volleyball Player of the Year
  • Audrey MacLean (Middlebury) - NESCAC Women's Cross Country Most Outstanding Performer
  • Luke Madden (Middlebury) - NESCAC Men's Soccer Player of the Year
  • Caroline Segal (Middlebury) - NESCAC Field Hockey Offensive Player of the Year
Founded in 1971, the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) consists of 11 liberal arts colleges and has consistently reflected its commitment to the values of athletics and academic achievement. The member colleges of the conference are Amherst College, Bates College, Bowdoin College, Colby College, Connecticut College, Hamilton College, Middlebury College, Trinity College, Tufts University, Wesleyan University, and Williams College.

NOTE: Each institution's athletic departments provided the lists of all-academic honorees. The cumulative GPA on record as of the end of the 2023-24 academic year was used to determine eligibility for the fall all-academic team. Corrections to the all-academic team will not be made 30 days after the publication date of the release.
