NESCAC Player of the Week
Sarah Peterson – Bowdoin – So. – G – Maple Grove, Minn.
Peterson was outstanding with 61 saves as the Polar Bears swept No. 12 Colby in a weekend set to improve to 4-0-0 for the first time since 2006-07. Peterson made 31 saves in a 2-0 shutout on Friday night in Brunswick before recording 30 stops in a 3-2 overtime win in Waterville the next night. For the weekend, Peterson posted a .968 save percentage and 0.98 goals against average.
NESCAC Weekly Honor Roll
Amherst – Junior
Natalie Stott (Franklin, Mass.) stopped 43 of the 45 shots she faced last weekend as the Mammoths posted back-to-back 3-1 wins over Conn. College.
Colby – Senior
Georgia Pettygrove (Hopkins, Minn.) tallied a goal and two assists in Colby's opener Tuesday. The senior tallied two first-period assists as Colby built out a 3-0 lead and scored midway through the second for what proved to be the game-winner in Colby's 6-3 victory over Suffolk.
Conn. College - Junior goalie
Devon Galizio (Wayland, Mass.) started both games in goal for Conn. last weekend. On Friday night, Galizio stopped 28 shots, following up with another 27 saves on Saturday. With the performances over the weekend, Galizio raised her save percentage to 0.894 and lowered her goals against average to under 3.00 goals a game.
Hamilton –
Teagan Brown (Northville, Mich.) posted a .947 save percentage in two games at Trinity. Brown set a career-high with 34 saves and allowed one goal in a 2-0 setback on Friday. The sophomore established another career-best with 37 stops in a 3-0 loss on Saturday.
Middlebury - Midway through overtime on Friday night,
Cece Ziegler (St. Paul, Minn.) dished out an assist to Cat Appleyard who tallied the game-winner. Ziegler assisted on both Middlebury goals to help lift the Panthers to a 2-1 overtime win against Wesleyan. The senior followed up with a goal and a helper in Saturday’s 6-0 victory versus the Cardinals, helping Middlebury improve to 4-0.
Trinity – Sophomore
Madeline Carter (Oak Park, Ill.) registered a 0.75 goals against average with a .950 save percentage and 38 saves during a 3-0 week for Trinity. Carter delivered back-to-back shutout performances against No. 11 Hamilton as the Bantams improved to 5-0 on the season. After posting 17 saves in the Bantams 3-0 win over the Continentals in the series opener, Carter tallied a season-high 19 saves in a 2-0 victory.
Wesleyan - Sophomore goalie
Jenna Guglielmi (Branford, Conn.) made a career-high 55 saves in Friday night's 2-1 overtime loss at Middlebury. Guglielmi's 55 saves are the most by a Cardinal goalie since 2010.
Williams – Senior defender
Quinn Dawson (Oakville, Ontario) finished with five assists and a plus-4 rating in an 8-0 win over visiting MCLA on Tuesday. Dawson added one assist in a 9-0 victory over Keene State on Saturday.
