NESCAC Football Offensive Player of the Week
Niko Candido – Wesleyan – QB – Sr. – Studio City, Calif.
Playing for Wesleyan's first-ever outright NESCAC Championship, Candido (threw for 190 yards and three touchdowns with no interceptions against a Trinity defense that came into Saturday’s game with 16 interceptions. Candido faced heavy pressure throughout the game from the Bantam defensive front, but slipped outside the pocket when necessary, picking up 51 yards on 20 attempts, with one rushing score. Candido accounted for all four Wesleyan touchdowns, including the go-ahead score with 6:10 remaining and a 15-yard score on a 4th-and-goal play with 1:27 left. The three passing touchdowns are a season-high for Candido while he is just the second quarterback in nine weeks to play Trinity and not turn the ball over

NESCAC Football Defensive Player of the Week
Julian Young – Colby – LB – Sr. – Manalapan, N.J.
In his final collegiate game, Julian Young (Manalapan, N.J.) ended his career with 295 tackles while leading the Mules defense to seven turnovers and seven sacks against Bowdoin to bring the CBB trophy back to Waterville. Young forced a fumble on a sack on Bowdoin's fifth offensive play, and intercepted a pass early in the third quarter as Colby held the Polar Bears to their lowest offensive scoring of the season. After finishing the 2022 season as the second-leading tackler in the NESCAC and leading the league in 2023, Young finished second in the conference again in 2024.
NESCAC Football Special Teams Player of the Week
Christos Tzoumakas – Colby – K/P – So. – Birmingham, Mich.
Tzoumakas connected on his two field goal attempts and four extra points as Colby defeated Bowdoin 34-10 to bring the CBB trophy back to Waterville. The sophomore’s first field goal was from 40 yards five minutes into the game to put the Mules ahead 10-0. The second attempt was from 41 yards midway through the second period to give Colby a 20-10 lead. Tzoumakas connected on eight field goals on the season giving him 14 in his first two years. The two from 40+ gives him three over 40 in his career. Tzoumakas also placed three punts inside the 20 and gave Bowdoin an average field position of the 23-yard line on seven kickoffs.

Bates - Sophomore running back
Ryan Lynskey (Crawford, N.J.) capped off his season with 13 carries for 73 yards and a touchdown against Hamilton, giving him a NESCAC-leading 1,091 rushing yards on the season to go along with 10 touchdowns. Lynskey finished the year averaging 5.7 yards per carry ... Sophomore linebacker
Ryan Rozich (Cromwell, Conn.) tallied a career-high 14 tackles Saturday at Hamilton, including 10 solo stops. He finishes the year as the NESCAC’s leading tackler with 82 on the season.
Colby –
Miles Drake (Darien, Conn.) guided Colby to 27 first-half points as the Mules defeated Bowdoin, 34-10, to bring the CBB trophy back to Waterville. The junior had one touchdown through the air and two on the ground to give him 17 total scores on the season, the most by a Colby signal-caller in over 10 years. Hamilton –
Lucas Perez-Segnini (Rye, N.Y.) caught three touchdown passes and finished with career highs of nine receptions and 126 yards receiving in the Continentals' 24-21 win against Bates. It was the first time since 2018 a Hamilton player had three touchdown receptions in a game. Perez-Segnini's touchdown catches went for 3, 24, and 24 yards. The senior's last score came with 8:55 left in the fourth quarter and put the Continentals in the lead for the first time at 20-14 … Junior
Kyle Bratcher (Park Ridge, N.J.) recovered a fumble and intercepted a pass in the Continentals' 24-21 win against Bates. Bratcher's pick late in the first half helped set up Hamilton's first touchdown. Senior
Joe Cairns (Rochester, N.Y.) recorded an interception deep in Bates territory that set up a 30-yard field goal and gave the Continentals a 24-14 advantage late in the fourth quarter. The interception was the first of Cairns' Hamilton career … Sophomore
Carmelo Velardo (Fort Lee, N.J) booted a 30-yard field goal with 4:42 left in the fourth quarter and was 3-for-3 on extra-point attempts in the Continentals' 24-21 win against Bates. Velardo's field goal gave Hamilton a 24-14 advantage.
Middlebury – With 53 receiving yards against Tufts, senior
Patrick Jamin (Rumson, N.J.) moved into fifth place on Middlebury’s career list with 1,995 yards. Rookie
Connor McClellan (Columbus, Ohio) closed out the year with a career-high 126 rushing yards …
Teddy Daniel (recorded a career-high 11 tackles and one pass breakup during Saturday’s contest. The senior finished the year tied for ninth place in the single-season record books with nine pass breakups this season and closed his career with 19.
Tomás Kenary (Chevy Chase, Md.) eclipsed the 100-career solo stops mark, totaling five against Tufts to finish with 102. The senior capped finished his career owning the Middlebury records in sacks (30), sack yardage (227), tackles for loss (TFL - 51), and TFL yards (267) … With one extra point against the Jumbos,
Zach Levy (Arvada, Colo.) set a school record for highest career kicking percentage at 95.7 (67-for-70). The kicker also became the second Panther, and first since 2004, to record a perfect season (25-for-25). The senior finished his career third on Middlebury’s all-time list with 68 PATs, while tying for fifth with eight field goals this season. Last week, Levy broke the school career mark with 21 career field goals.
Tufts - Senior wide receiver
Cade Moore (The Woodlands, Texas) had a fantastic finale to his Tufts career, as the senior made seven catches for 59 yards and a score. Moore’s touchdown in the fourth quarter was his 13th at Tufts, moving him into fourth among the all-time Jumbo leaders.
Wesleyan – Senior
Ben Carbeau (Concord, Mass.) totaled seven tackles and two sacks as the Cardinals' defense limited Trinity to a season-low 277 yards including just 53 rushing on 26 attempts (2.0 yards per carry) in Wesleyan’s 27-17 victory over the Bantams to claim the Cardinals’ first out-right NESCAC title and second in program history (2013). The Cardinals held Trinity scoreless in the second half and the 53 rushing yards is the lowest output for the Bantams since the 2021 season.
Williams – Sophomore tight end
Owen Johansen (Northport, N.Y.) recorded the first two Ephs' touchdowns in a 21-0 victory over Amherst. Johansen picked up a rushing touchdown from 13 yards out in the first quarter and another from nine yards out in the second quarter. The game marked the first time Johansen recorded two rushing touchdowns in the same game at the college level. He finished the game with 54 rushing yards on 10 carries …
Holden Gering (Pacific Palisades, Calif.) recorded two interceptions in the Ephs’ win over the Mammoths. The sophomore also recorded a game-high 10 solo tackles and forced a fumble that was recovered by Williams … Senior
Ivan Shuran (Medina, Ohio) went 3-for-3 on PATs against Amherst. Shuran averaged 54.8 yards on four kickoffs, 219 yards total.
