NESCAC Field Hockey Player of the Week
Amy Griffin - Middlebury - Jr. - M - Wilmette, Ill.
Griffin factored into six of Middlebury’s nine goals in a 2-0 week, helping the Panthers secure the top seed of the NESCAC Championship and advance to the semifinals. Griffin played a role in all three tallies in Wednesday’s 3-0 win over Williams, assisting on the first, before scoring the final two markers. The Panther recorded her third career hat trick in quarterfinal action on Saturday in a 6-1 win over Trinity. Griffin leads the league in points (46) and goals (19). The midfielder recently eclipsed the 100-career points mark (115) and has tallied at least two points in nine straight contests.

Amherst –
Kat Mason (Greenfield, Mass.) scored twice, including the game-winner in overtime Saturday, as the No. 7 Mammoths upset No. 2 Tufts, 3-2, in the NESCAC Quarterfinals. Mason's overtime goal came with 26 seconds left in the first extra period after she had stolen possession in her own end and dribbled over 50 yards into the circle. It sent the Mammoths to the NESCAC Semifinals for the first time since 2015 and it snapped a seven-game losing streak to the Jumbos dating back to 2016.
Bates –
Anna Lindeis (New Canaan, Conn.) scored two impressive unassisted goals in a 4-3 win over Colby on Tuesday. The junior opened the scoring in the ninth minute of action to give Bates a 1-0 lead. In the 11th minute, Lindeis scored from the same spot to push the Bobcats’ advantage to 2-0. The Bobcats are 11-4 and 7-3 in NESCAC play, marking the team’s most wins overall since 1999 and most wins in conference action in program history.
Bowdoin – Polar Bear senior
Georgie Coetzer (Johannesburg, South Africa) scored her team-leading eighth goal of the season in Bowdoin’s regular-season finale against Tufts.
Colby –
Pernilla Shaw (Bow, N.H.) scored Colby's first goal Tuesday in the regular season finale against Bates and connected on her second goal of the game with less than three minutes left to force overtime with the Bobcats. The junior ended the year leading the Mules with eight goals and has totaled 20 over her first three years.
Conn. College -
Bridget McGann (West Hartford, Conn.) scored a pair of goals last week to lead the Camels on offense. The sophomore recorded the game-winning tally in a 2-1 upset over Wesleyan, giving Conn. College its first win over a ranked opponent since 2017. McGann also notched a goal earlier in the week in a loss to Bates.
Hamilton – Senior
Alana King (Granby, Conn.) scored in the second quarter of the Continentals' 2-0 win over William Smith. King ended up with three goals and 10 points this year and finished with nine career goals and 28 points. Senior
Hannah Dillon (Basking Ridge, N.J.) had the assist on King's goal. Dillon led the Continentals with five assists and 11 points and ended up with 15 career helpers and 33 points.
Trinity – Senior
Olivia McMichael (Glenside, Pa.) made a career-high 16 saves for the Bantams in a 6-1 loss to Middlebury in the NESCAC Quarterfinals.
Tufts –
Andrea DelGiudice (Bedford, N.H.) scored a pair of goals for the Jumbos last week. At Bowdoin on Tuesday her goal 5:59 into overtime lifted the Jumbos to a 2-1 win and an 8-2 NESCAC record. It was the senior’s fourth game-winning goal of the season and ended the Jumbos' four-game losing streak versus the Polar Bears. In the NESCAC Quarterfinals, DelGiudice scored with 9:14 remaining in the first half to tie the game versus Amherst at 1-1.
Wesleyan – Sophomore
Audrey Pace (Los Gatos, Calif.) set a NESCAC Championship single-game record with 23 saves in a 3-2 overtime loss at No. 4 seeded Williams in the quarterfinals. The 23 saves for Pace was a new career-high and the most for a Cardinal goalkeeper since the 1980s.
Williams –
Pilar Torres (Madison, N.J.) tallied one goal and one assist in a 3-2 overtime victory over Wesleyan in the NESCAC Quarterfinals on Saturday at Cole Field. The sophomore scored the game-winner 5:13 into the first overtime period and assisted on a goal, which gave the Ephs' a 2-1 advantage in the final minute of the third quarter.
