Why did you choose to attend Williams?
The guys on the team. I felt right at home with them from my first visit. Everyone wants to achieve big things on and off the field and being around people like that pushes you to be the best version of yourself each day.

Why did you choose to be a Division III student-athlete?
I wanted to continue doing school and soccer at a high level and the NESCAC is one of the few places where you can.

What is the best thing about being part of the NESCAC?
The competition and rivalries. Every game is a battle and challenges you to bring full focus and energy.

What is your dream job/career?
Either a pro soccer player or coach, or a GM in any sport. I’m at my happiest when I’m on the field and around teams and I get so much energy from competition. Having one of these roles would be unreal.

What extracurricular activities or service activities do you participate in?
I’ve been one of our team’s two SAAC representatives since 2021 and have worked with the community and campus engagement groups within SAAC. One of the cool service projects we have done is assisting Saints Patrick & Raphael Parish with their food bank distributions.

Looking back on your years, what are you most proud of?
Luckily, it’s only been two and a half for me so far, but I’d have to say I’m most proud of the relationships I’ve built with my teammates which I know will last for life.

Is there anything special about your uniform number?
I started wearing #11 as a kid since I was born on the 11th of September and I’ve stuck with it ever since.

What is something you enjoy doing that you never get tired of?
Spending time with family.

What has been your favorite class outside of your major?
A Russian Studies class about Cold War Soviet espionage that I took during Winter Study my freshman year. Most of the class was spent analyzing the TV series The Americans which was so much fun.

What internships/research projects have you participated in?
This summer, I worked on a statistics research project with Professor Liz Upton at Williams where we explored currently used adjusted plus-minus metrics in the NBA and built our own version to rank players. This project gave me a lot of experience coding and working with penalized regression models, and a taste for what NBA data scientists might do on the day-to-day.

What is the greatest lesson you have learned from being a student-athlete?
80/20 Rule: we only have so much time, so focus on the things which give you the most bang for your buck.

What is your favorite place on your campus?
Cole Field. Besides being the best field I’ve ever played on, the mountain backdrop is unreal, especially in October and November with the leaves changing colors. It’s also a place where I can go each day and temporarily forget about all of the other stuff going on in life and just enjoy playing footy.

Who has been the most influential person to you during your time in college?
Coach Siebert. He has challenged me to become a better player, person, and leader, and has given me the tools and guidance to do so.

What is something interesting about you that others might not know
I’ve been a vegetarian my whole life.

What is something you enjoy doing when not in class or competing in your sport?
Lots of different things, some of my favorites are reading, listening to podcasts, going on long walks, skiing, napping, and watching Premier League highlights on YouTube.
