Why did you choose to attend Middlebury?
I received an opportunity to continue playing football and loved everything Middlebury had to offer.

Why did you choose to be a Division III student-athlete?
Well, I hadn’t planned on being an athlete, but when the opportunity presented itself I didn’t hesitate to play.

What is the best thing about being part of the NESCAC?
The football is serious, but so are the academics. It’s the best of both worlds.

What is your dream job/career?
I plan to pursue a career in music as a recording artist (he's already a published musician on Spotify). It once was a dream, but in my experience at Middlebury it has quickly become a reality.

What extracurricular activities or service activities do you participate in?
I sing in an acapella group on campus called The Middlebury Mamajamas. I actually saw the auditions one day when I was at home shortly after tearing my ACL. It has become a huge part of my life at Middlebury.

Looking back on your four years, what are you most proud of?
Well, being part of a 9-0 football team is definitely up there, but above all else I’m proud to have been here and proud to have shared this experience with so many great minds who have had such a profound impact on me as a person. The relationships I have formed here will last much longer than my four years.

Is there anything special about your uniform number?
26 is my mother's birthday, and it was the first number I played with when I was 11. I love my number.

What is something you enjoy doing that you never get tired of?
Playing my guitar. It keeps me going.

What has been your favorite class outside of your major?
I took a class called “Golden Age of Athens” which was part of the classics department. It was thought provoking, engaging, and very illuminating as to what democracy is and how it has come to be.

Who is your favorite professor?
That’s tough, I love my professors. I take the attitude that if you want to learn, you can be taught anything. The teachers at Middlebury are second to none, and I can’t choose a favorite. The guys I play in a band with are pretty awesome - Shout out to the Doughboys!

What internships/research projects have you participated in?
This summer I spent a lot of time with my band, playing shows and writing original music for our upcoming release. It was one of those summers that really feels like a new chapter. What a time.

What has been the most interesting part of your major?
I took advanced composition, which entailed writing and producing a 10-minute string quartet. It was challenging and the most rewarding project I’ve been a part of.

What is the greatest lesson you have learned from being a student-athlete?
How to be where your feet are. Yesterday is gone and tomorrow is much too far. All we have is right now.

What is your favorite place on your campus?
There’s a little music studio under the FIC where I like to go and play music when Middlebury gets a bit much. It’s very quiet, and I love it.

Who has been the most influential person to you during your time in college?
Oh man. So many great people have moved me over the years. Of them all, my football coaches have been there for me in times when the world felt like it was falling. For that, I will forever love and respect them like no other.

What is something interesting about you that others might not know?
I am a Type 1 diabetic! I was diagnosed in 2019. Since then, I’m doing very well, and the disease does not define me!

What is something you enjoy doing when not in class or competing in your sport?
I love writing songs, hanging out with friends, and eating food.
