Why did you choose to attend Colby?
It was the best combination of academics and competitive basketball. It also provided me a unique experience to grow.

Why did you choose to be a Division III student-athlete?
The academics associated with the NESCAC has a very strong reputation.

What is the best thing about being part of the NESCAC?
The consistent competition.

What is your dream job/career?
General manager of an NBA team, because it combines both my athletic and academic passions that I have developed at Colby.

Did you participate in charity work or work on the frontlines in healthcare during the pandemic?
For several summers I have worked with and for Morehouse School of Medicine to implement and evaluate programs designed to assist “at-risk” youth. Our work also deals with the impact of COVID on underfunded communities. This work directly impacts my community and many youth that look like myself, and it is for this reason that I have participated.

What extracurricular activities or service activities do you participate in?
I sit on the Colby Athletic Department's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee. As one of Colby’s few black student-athletes from a predominantly black community, my impact on the committee directly influences the experience of black student-athletes, as well as any other people that identify outside of the social norms of Colby College.

Looking back on your four years, what are you most proud of?
Entering a foreign, uncomfortable place and making it my own.

What is something you enjoy doing that you never get tired of?
Joking with friends and watching movies.

What has been your favorite class outside of your major?
Greek Myth and Literature, because the professor was great and I love getting lost in a story.

Who is your favorite professor?
Adam Howard. He has been more than a mentor, and always looked for opportunities for me to better myself. His help was always genuine.

What internships/research projects have you participated in?
I had an internship/research project in Taiwan where I accompanied seniors on a service trip to an aboriginal community in Taiwan’s jungles. I also organized and managed basketball camps for the students. I learned about the connected nature of humanity, and the ability to form relationships through basketball.

What is the greatest lesson you have learned from being a student-athlete?
When you are passionate about your work, it's not work.

What advice would your 2021 self give your 2017 self?
Everything happens for a reason. God has been there every step of the way, and He will continue to be.

What is your favorite place on your campus?
Depends on the season. Either the arboretum, the new gym, or the hill.

Who has been the most influential person on you during your time in college?
Adam Howard, because he challenged me to grow, and forever changed the trajectory of my life.
