Rebecca Duncan, WilliamsThroughout her four years at Williams, Rebecca Duncan’s leadership, team spirit, character, and ability were consistently on display on the field and in the surrounding community.

Duncan was a decorated softball player, leading the Ephs to two Division III World Series appearances in her three years. She was an All-NESCAC First Team selection in each of those seasons, while also earning NESCAC Rookie of the Year and NESCAC Pitcher of the Year honors along the way. Despite the loss of her senior season to the COVID-19 pandemic, Duncan ranks second all-time at Williams in strikeouts and third in wins and ERA. Demonstrating her all-round versatility, she also ranks 7th all-time in home runs.

Duncan was on the pre-med track at Williams and majored in English. An exceptional student, she was named CoSIDA Academic District 1 First Team. She spent her winter study sessions at Williams preparing for medical school by becoming an EMT and shadowing medical professionals. She spent countless hours at Williamstown Elementary School as a classroom aide and reading buddy to second-grade students.

On June 6th, Duncan was honored with the Williams Purple Key Award, an honor given to a senior student-athlete who best exemplifies leadership, team spirit, ability, and character at Williams.
