Meet Nate Richam-Odoi - Bowdoin Football

Nate Richam-Odoi, BowdoinOne of the finest running backs in Bowdoin football history, Nate Richam-Odoi became the first Polar Bear tailback to be named First Team All-NESCAC in program history in 2019. Richam-Odoi carried the ball 189 times for a career-high 830 yards in his final season for Bowdoin, averaging 4.4 yards per rush with seven touchdowns. His 830 yards were second in the conference and were the fourth-most in a single-season in program history while his 2,186 yards are fifth in school history. Additionally, he caught a career-high 26 passes out of the backfield for 238 yards, giving him 1,068 yards from scrimmage.

An Economics major, Richam-Odoi was an active member of the campus community, serving in Residential Life, on the Athletes of Color Coalition, with Bowdoin Men Against Sexual Violence and as an Out Ally.

“The competitive nature of athletics at Bowdoin has taught me about self-advocacy, built my confidence, and instilled in me the value of never being satisfied – always striving for more,” recalls Richam-Odoi. “Through sport, I have learned that I can persevere through tough times and I am deserving of my achievements.”
