Colby’s Eddy Named Player of the Year
HADLEY, Mass. - Colby senior attack Katharine Eddy (Cheshire, Conn.) has been chosen by the conference coaches as the 2014 NESCAC Player of the Year. Eddy is the second Mule player to receive the award, joining Kate Sheridan, who earned the accolade in 2008 and 2009. Eddy helped sixth-seed Colby advance to the NESCAC semifinals for the second consecutive season after the Mules upset Middlebury, 11-10, in the quarterfinals.
Eddy earned First Team All-NESCAC recogniton for the first time in her career after being named to the Second Team last season. Eddy has played an integral role in helping Colby average 11.07 goals per game overall, which ranks second among conference opponents.
