Williams Men's and Women's Rowing Teams Once Again Take NESCAC Title

WORCESTER, Mass. – The Williams College Men's and Women's Rowing squads once again came away with NESCAC title on Sunday during the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) National Invitational Rowing Championship, held at Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester, Mass. The Eph women won the grand final of the varsity eight race, while the men's squad was the top conference team in the race, finishing second to the University of Michigan by less than two seconds.

In the women's grand final, Williams won the race with a time of 6:45.177. Bates placed second in 6:50.657. Trinity came in fourth overall in the event, posting a time of 6:55.733.

Michigan was first in the men's grand final, finishing the race in 5:57.430. Williams took second in 5:59.272. Trinity, second to Williams among NESCAC squads, was fifth in the race with a time of 6:05.451.

This is the fourth overall NESCAC championship for the Eph men. The Williams women have won the last six NESCAC titles and seven overall.
