Williams Men and Women Repeat as Rowing Champs
WORCESTER, Mass. – The
Williams College Men's and Women's Rowing squads repeated as NESCAC
champions on Sunday during the Eastern College Athletic Conference
(ECAC) National Invitational Rowing Championship, held at Lake
Quinsigamond in Worcester, Mass. The Ephs won Sunday's varsity
eight race for both the men and the women, while Trinity was second
in both races.
The race on the men's side was very
close, as Williams (5:54.538) edged Trinity (5:54.853) by .315
seconds. The Ephs were also a winner on the women's side in a time
of 6:36.613. Trinity was second in 6:47.920, while Bates was third
at 6:48.084.
This is the third overall NESCAC
title for the Eph men. The Williams women have won the last five
NESCAC crowns and six overall.
