Williams Women, Trinity Men Claim 2008 NESCAC Rowing Titles

WORCESTER, Mass. - The Trinity men’s varsity eight crew finished first with a time of 5:56.354 in the grand final of the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) National Invitational Regatta on Lake Quinsigamond Sunday afternoon, giving the Bantams their fourth consecutive NESCAC Men's Rowing crown.

For the women's title, Williams won its third-straight NESCAC Women's Rowing Championship after finishing as the top NESCAC women's varsity eight at the event posting a time of 6:46.822, only 0.605 seconds ahead of second-place Trinity.

The Williams women earn the NESCAC’s automatic bid to the NCAA Division III National Championship Regatta hosted by the University of California, Berkeley, from May 30 through June 1 in Sacremento, Calif.
