Trinity Men, Williams Women Earn 2006 Rowing Crowns
WORCESTER, Mass. - The Trinity
College men’s varsity eight crew finished first with a time
of 5:43.494 in the grand final of the Eastern College Athletic
Conference (ECAC) National Invitational Regatta on Lake
Quinsigamond Sunday afternoon, giving the Bantams their
second-straight NESCAC Men's Rowing title. On the women's side,
Williams' team earned the NESCAC Women's Rowing title after
finishing as the top NESCAC women's varsity eight at the event
posting a time of 6:42.652. It is the first NESCAC Women's Rowing
crown for the Ephs since 2002. The Williams women earn the
NESCAC’s automatic bid to the NCAA Division III National
Championship Regatta at Mercer Lake in West Windsor, N.J. on May 26
through 28, hosted by Princeton International Regatta and Rutgers
University.
