Williams Wins NESCAC Men's Tennis Championship

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. - Williams won its ninth consecutive men's tennis conference title at the 2001 NESCAC Men's Tennis Championship. The host Ephs claimed four singles and two doubles titles en route to their 12th team title in the 19-year history of the tournament.

Trinity finished second behind the play of senior Rosty Orach and freshman Richard Lawrence. Orach earned the individual title in first singles and teamed with Lawrence to win the first doubles flight.

Williams freshman Andrew Murray and his twin brother Daniel Murray captured the third and sixth singles titles, respectively. Toby Reigeluth and Dan Matro won the fourth and fifth singles titles, respectively, for the Ephs. The Murray brothers also teamed to capture the second doubles title, while Matro and David Frankel earned the title in third doubles. Nick MacLean of Bowdoin captured the title in second singles.
