  • NESCAC Final: No. 2 Middlebury 3, No. 1 Tufts 2

    Second-seeded Middlebury won a thrilling five-set match over top-seeded Tufts on Sunday to capture the 2016 NESCAC Volleyball Championship. Becca Raffel led the Panthers with 15 kills and 26 digs and Isabel Sessions added 12 kills as the Panthers won their fifth conference title and their first since 2012.
  • NESCAC Semifinal: No. 1 Tufts 3, No. 4 Bowdoin 1

    After falling in the first set, top-seeded Tufts came back to win three straight sets and take a 3-1 win over No. 4 Bowdoin in the NESCAC Semifinals in Cousens Gym on the campus of Tufts on Saturday. The Jumbos advance to the conference final where they will face second-seeded Middlebury on Sunday at Noon.

    Middlebury head coach Sarah Raunecker picked up her 400th career win as the second-seeded Panthers defeated third-seeded Amherst, 3-0, in the NESCAC Semifinals in Cousens Gym on the campus of Tufts. Becca Raffel led the Panthers with a match-high 16 kills.

    Tufts closed out the final weekend of the regular season with a sweep of Connecticut College to wrap up the No. 1 seed and earn the right to host the NESCAC Volleyball Championship at Cousens Gymnasium on November 4, 5 and 6. Quarterfinal round action is slated to get underway on Friday, November 4 at 5 p.m. Semifinal matches will be played on Saturday, November 5 followed by the championship match on Sunday, November 6.
