Black posted a program-record time of 1:48.60 in the 800 meters at Princeton’s Larry Ellis Invitational. It is also the fastest time in Division III this season. He finished seventh out of 77 runners, and was one of three collegiate runners to place in the top 10.
Harrington won the javelin at the Maine State Meet on Saturday with a throw of 191-8 to help Bates claim its seventh straight state title. Heading into the NESCAC Championships this weekend, he owns the top mark in the event.
Franz bettered her own school record in the 1,500 meters by more than five seconds when she posted a time of 4:33.91 at Princeton’s Larry Ellis Invitational on Friday.
