NCAA Regional: Williams Falls to Johnson & Wales, 9-0 (5 inn.)

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. - In the first round of NCAA Regionals, Johnson & Wales pitcher Jennifer Corona threw a two-hitter against Williams College to lead her team to a 9-0 victory. The Wildcats' record improves to 32-10 while the Ephs fall to 32-10.

J&W advances to face MIT in a 10:45 a.m. Williams will play Western Connecticut at 1:15 p.m.

Against Williams, the Wildcats scored in sets of three runs today, driving in three runs in the first, second, and fourth inning of the game. Just two Williams hitters, Kacey Cramer and Mackenzie Murphy, were able to record hits against Corona, and the Ephs went down in five innings.

Emily Gorecki and Emily Schaper from Johnson & Wales went 3-for-3 on the day, each blasting home runs and combining for five RBIs.
