Kaasila averaged 17 points and eight rebounds while shooting nearly 74% from the floor over the weekend for the Jeffs. Down 40-38, Kaasila scored 18 of his 20 points in the second half to lead Amherst to an 80-64 semifinal win over Tufts on Saturday. He had 14 points and eight rebounds in the championship game against Williams the next day, going 7 for 11 from the floor and becoming the 27th player in program history to reach the 1,000-point plateau.
